Searching for lavender: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse

On our third day in Provence we began the second part of our route: the route of lavender! This second phase is actually the origin and starting point of this trip, the main objective. Here we leave our accommodation in Avignon and, after visiting L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, headed to our second home.

Both towns had water in common, which is very pleasant in summer. We first visited L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, called the Provençal Venice because of its canals that divide the tiny town into small islands. It has many waterside cafés and restaurants, all within walking distance of each other. Its many attractive water wheels throughout the town are still in working order. It is very easy to park for free.

From here we went to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, as the name suggests, it is the source of the water that bathes L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The village is very small and its beauty is somehow hidden. In fact, when we surrounded the town looking for a car park, you doubted whether stopping or not. But yes! It is certainly a beautiful place worth visiting.

You will have to park your car at the banks of the river before entering the village itself.  The price was € 4 (if I remember well) without time limitation. There is one that is wonderful! It has much shade trees, a small grassy area with access to the river and fountains. A beautiful place! We decided to eat there and cool off in the river. If you have the center of the village in front of you, this car park is on the right side of the river.

Surely, this village is beautiful also in winter with snow and the river is high! Kisses and tell me if you too have been in the Provence!

  3. CBD oil is able to reduce inflammation in the body by limiting reuptake of the neurotransmitter adenosine. By doing this, the level of adenosine in the brain increases, which impacts adenosine receptors in a way that significantly reduces inflammation within the body. https://royalcbd.com/product/cbd-oil-2500mg/
