Last month I went to Brussels with some friends to see Woodie Smalls live. We were only two days (it was a work trip), but we had enough time to discover some interesting places. So I bring you a brief post with some interesting tips that our Belgian friends gave us.
El mes pasado fui con unos amigos a Bruselas al concierto de Woodie Smalls. Estuvimos únicamente dos días, porque íbamos por trabajo, pero nos dio para descubrir algunos sitios interesantes. Así que os traigo un post breve pero con algunos consejos interesantes que nos dieron nuestros amigos belgas.
We loved the Christmas atmosphere you could already feel in the city. We had lunch and dinner at Chez Leon, which became the living room where we spent hours eating mussels and drinking Belgian beer. A very varied menu, with Belgian specialties and at a good price. Super recommended.
Nos encantó el ambiente navideño que ya se respiraba en la ciudad. Comimos y cenamos en Chez Leon, que se convirtió en el salón de casa donde pasamos hora comiendo mejillones y bebiendo cerveza belga. Una carta muy variada, con especialidades belgas y a buen precio. Super recomendable.
Another place that we loved was the Delirium Café, a bar in Brussels known for having more than 2000 types of beers and getting the Guinness record in 2004. Surely you find yours among its options from more than 60 countries including a great offer in Belgian beers . The name of the bar comes from the Delirium Tremens beer, whose pink elephant symbol also decorates the bar entrance.
Otro sitio que nos encantó fue el Delirium Café, un bar en Bruselas conocido por tener más de 2000 tipos de cervezas y conseguir el record Guinness en 2004. Seguro que encuentras la tuya entre sus opciones de más de 60 países incluyendo gran oferta en cervezas belgas. El nombre del bar proviene de la cerveza Delirium Tremens, cuyo símbolo de elefante rosa también decora la entrada del café.
Woodie Smalls got his first single “Champion Sound” aged 19, then a stellar debut album Soft Parade in 2015. Since then Smalls has been garnering a buzz both online and off. He’s stomped stages of the summer’s biggest festivals like Pukkelpop and onto a SXSW showcase, while dropping a series of fire singles – “Tokyo Drift” and “Pending”. The Belgian rapper’s output recalls the west coast suave of Cali rather than Charleroi.
Woodie Smalls publicó su primer sencillo "Champion Sound" a los 19 años y en 2015 lanzó su álbum debut Soft Parade. Desde entonces, Smalls ha ido ganando fans tanto en online como en off. Ha actuado en festivales tan como el Pukkelpop o el SXSW. Ahora publica nuevos singles: "Tokyo Drift" y "Pending". La producción de este rapero belga recuerda más a la suave costa oeste de Cali que a su Bruselas natal.
