Lovely weekend with Esther

Last saturday one of my dearest friend came to visit me in Barcelona. We know each other for years and she is like the little sister I never had. Esther and I met in Esther's hometown, Nürnberg (Germany). She was my host family when I was learning German but soon became my best friend. I still have a box full of letters she wrote me during all this years (or at least until internet changed that for emails). There aren't enough words to describe how much I love her.

It was the first time that Esther was visiting Barcelona and we decided to enjoy the beautiful sunny sunday to walk the city. But, we had lot to talk about so, firstly: brunch for hours!

I first heard of Caravelle a couple of months ago at Time Out Barcelona, my absolute favorite guide of the city.  They recommended Caravelle because you could find delicious, original recipes, with British, Italian or Catalan influences, good breakfasts and home-made desserts.

Usually, every time I went was crowded but, this time, we were lucky and we could get a nice table to brunch! We order some delicious scramble eggs (free-range eggs) with bacon on toast. Delicious!

After brunching we went for a walk. The summer was back in town and we had around 28 degrees! Barcelona was beautiful, with thousand of colors everywhere. We went to Ciutadella Park to rest a little bit under the trees. The park was stunning! Everything still green and some families celebrating their kids' birthday with the most beautiful and colorful decoration. We felt like Alice in wonderland.
