Siurana, a small village at the top of an escarpment

On Sunday we made a trip to the beautiful village of Siurana, also in the Priorat. It's about 30km from Vilella Baixa and about 45 minutes by car. The road has many curves as this village is located on a high rock from where you will have a magnificent panoramic view of the valley. But it's totally worth it. In fact, it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in the province, declared a picturesque landscape in 1961.

Its natural landscapes include rocky formations such as the twin rock of the Siuranella, the Salto de la Reina Mora or the Trona, and the cliffs of Arbolí, frequented by fans of climbing. In fact, along the way you will see an infinity of cars parked in places where, apparently, there is nothing to see, but that are probably climbing points. Siurana is flanked by the Sierra de Montsant, and by peaks such as that of Gritella (1,089m) and Gallicant (1,028m).

It is also nice to admire the swamp of Siurana from the top of the village. The dam is the seat of the Club Nàutic de Cornudella, and there you can practice various water sports such as rowing or canoeing. Another good option to visit it in the summer and take a dip. Here some more photos so that you can appreciate how beautiful this village is. Happy weekend!
