Artist to keep an eye on: ZELLA DAY

I've just found out about this artist described as a "happier Lana del Rey" and that, being still in her teens, has been one of the most blogged-about artists of 2014. Zella’s got a background as a folkie/country girl from a small ranch town in Arizona and a very promising future. Watch out!

Acabo de descubrir a Zella, artista descrita como "una Lana del Rey más feliz", y que, sin haber llegado a la veintena, ha sido una de las artistas de las que más se ha blogueado en 2014. Zella es originaria de un pequeño rancho en Arizona, de ahí su toque country/folk. No la perdáis de vista porque dará de que hablar!

Natasha is one of my biggest obsessions since I discovered her. If her name is written in any news, I start panicking and need to know everything right away! So has also been this time. Natasha es una de mis grandes obsesiones. Desde que la descubrí me obsesioné con ella. Si un titular lleva su nombre, me entra el ataque y necesito saberlo todo inmediatamente! Así ha sido esta vez. La talentosa cantante de Bat For Lashes dirige un fashion film para la marca de ropa YMC.

Tropico by Lana del Rey

Today was the release of the awaited short film Tropico by Lana del Rey! Lana, the singer which name can't be pronounced without the surname, because it loses its charm, the singer with most detractors and defenders, the lady that caught my senses the first second I heard her. I'm not a fan, but  her deep voice, visual language, languid look and the fragility that conveys inspires me and gets me melancholich.  Winter sadness, summer sadness... the kind of melancholy that makes you smile in the darkness.

Hoy se ha estrenado el esperadísimo nuevo videoclip de Lana del Rey, Tropico (quería simplemente escribir Lana, pero qué es Lana sin del Rey?). Sé que tiene muchos detractores (y otros tanto admiradores incondicionales) pero a mi Lana me gustó de inmediato. Su lenguaje visual, su voz grave, su mirada lánguida y la fragilidad que transmite conforman un mundo que me inspira y me pone melancólica. Melancolía de invierno, melancolía de verano, esa melancolía que te hace sonreír en la oscuridad.
