Deers Hinds: teen, crazy, fast & furious

__I cant remember exactly how Deers Hinds appeared on my computer. From a web to a blog, and from a blog to a tumblr, suddenly, I was following them on various platforms. The first thing that struck me was his carefree, fun and crazy image, that of two best friends on a Friday night, that of a sleepover with Prom's red punch, that of a night of fugue on an American bus. Deers Hinds captivated me for his boundless energy, his madness and desire of conquering the world. Very teen.

Deers Hinds apareció en mi ordenador no se muy bien como. De una web a un blog y de un blog a tumblr y así, sin darme cuenta, las seguía por varias plataformas. Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue su imagen despreocupada, divertida y loca, la de dos mejores amigas un viernes por la noche, la de una fiesta de pijamas con ponche rojo de fin de curso, la de una fuga nocturna en un bus americano. Deers Hinds me cautivaron por su energía desbordante, su locura y sus ganas de comerse el mundo. Muy teen.

The origins of the name are also very teen ... In Spanish, there’s an expression that when your boyfriend cheats on you, you have horns. Deers Hinds have horns and Deers Hinds  also... Ana Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials are Deers Hinds, a duo from Madrid who met through their ex-boyfriends and decided to form a group. They recorded two demos at home, uploaded on soundcloud and ... boom! In fact, what characterizes them is precisely that lo-fi sound, improperly recorded and never mastered, the sound of a demo. A fidgety Spanish version of lo-fi garage rock with hints of 60s girl-group pop.

El por qué del nombre también es muy teen... los ciervos tienen cuernos y Deers Hinds también los ha tenido... Ana Garcia Perrote y Carlotta Cosials son Deers Hinds, dos madrileñas que se conocieron a través de sus respectivos ex-novios y decidieron formar un grupo. Grabaron dos demos en casa, las subieron a soundcloud y... ¡boom! De hecho, lo que les caracteriza es precisamente ese sonido lo-fi de canciones mal grabadas y sin masterizar, como si cada tema fuera una demo. Una  versión española de lo-fi garage con toques de banda pop de chicas de los 60.

Today they released their first album: BARN, recorded with the 2 new members of this band, Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen. Deers Hinds have already played in several European clubs and will be playing  in March at SXSW15 in Texas! Lots of girl power and new obsession!

Hoy publican su primer album: BARN grabado con las 2 nuevas integrantes de esta banda, Ade Martin y Amber Grimbergen.  Deers Hinds ya han tocado en varias salas europeas y en marzo actuaran en el SXSW en Texas! Girl power a tope y nueva obsesión!
