Today I bring you the perfect post for these hot summer days. A post full of beaches and fishing villages that will make you dream of taking a dip in the wonderful waters of Milos! And if you want to know more about the island, read here my previous article about the small towns of this Greek island.

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm still alive! I've been a little bit out these past weeks...must be the abstemious spring that has left me with no ideas. But finally, here is a new post and, hopefully, the resumption of a fruitful new era of content ;) Today I bring you a super nice trip to do it from Barcelona in one or two days.
From Faro we went to Portimao by bus. It takes around 1h45' and costs € 5,50 (the train costs € 6). Portimao is one of the most famous cities in the Algarve and one of the few with an urban center where tourism is secondary. Tourists take the area of Praia da Rocha - one of the most famous in the Algarve - and the locals stay in the city center, including the picturesque bank of the river Arade, which offers some of the city's characteristic prints.
Tourists associate Barcelona to Gaudi, pa amb tomàquet and beach, but the truth is that the beaches of Barcelona are not a referent. They are very crowded and full of street vendors who will not let you off. And, I'm really not complaining. Living by the sea is a must for me, and Barcelona has coast to get bored of! But I would like to show you alternative to the beaches of the Catalan capital. In previous posts I spoke you about Les Filipines and the beach of El Prat. Today we bathe in Montgat, El Maresme.
This summer is being very blue and sunny, the perfect combination! I recently spent a wonderful weekend in Cadaques with Ideotta, Natalia and Bertran. I've been in Cadaques before (you can see it here), but this time was really magical.
__In our quest to discover the rural Japan, we came across this atypical city in any routes through the country of the rising sun, Shirahama. After visiting Koyasan, we decided to delve a little deeper into the peninsula of Wakayama trying to reach Kumano Kodo, the Japanese St James' Way. However, communications with public transport are very complicated and the only feasible destination was Shirahama. A town that has anything rural but the province in which it is.
From Otranto we follow the "litoranea" road looking for more coves and villages erected on the edge of the sea. We traveled towards Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost tip of Salento, also called Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae (end of the world), according to an old popular belief that placed it on the edge of the earth.

The sea of Otranto was one of the most idyllic settings of the trip. After two intense days of walking and visiting beaches, we decided that the third day would be more relaxed. We just wanted to enjoy any beach of the Adriatic Sea. In fact, we chose the beach using google earth. We just zoom off areas of the coast of Otranto where the blue of the water stand out in a special way. This way we found Atlantis, our favorite beach of the trip!

Hi! We just returned from a week touring Apulia (Puglia in Italian), a region in southern Italy. I have lots of photos and stories to show you and tell you. I'll do it in several posts not to bore you too much ;)
Hola!
__A few years ago we were about to go to the Philippines on vacation. A last minute problem made us cancel the trip and stay disappointed. So when one day we saw the exit on the highway indicating Las Filipinas, we decided to venture to discover our consolation prize. This way we found out about this unknown and uncrowded beach: Las Filipinas.
__I remember how all my friends went to "the village" when summer came. I think it's very characteristic of the Spain of the 80s and 90s. Many families vacationed in the village of their childhood and where older relatives still lived in. By that time, I didn't envy them. Summer in "the village" did not represent a great incentive for me (even if I loved to spend as much time as possible at my grandparents, who also lived in a town, but I never considered it "the village"). However, these coastal towns, that were so tourist back in those days, have now that charm that only nostalgia and resistance to the passage of time can give.
This is a very special post and I hope you enjoy it as much as me, because I wrote it with love. I met Doris (Hanh) a couple of years ago when we both were studying design in Florence (Italy). Born in Hong Kong with Vietnamese roots and raised in California, Hanh is one of those person with a special allure that makes you wanna come closer to her.
Last weekend summer stood with their suitcases in Barcelona and we all went crazy! This year his flight was delayed and although we were all already organizing his welcome party, he cached us still wearing socks!
The Mediterranean beaches are even more beautiful in winter, when they acquire that unique bright light which makes them poetic.
We visited the coastal town of Cassis and the wonderful Calanques, beautiful coves surrounded by turquoise sea, rocks and green pine trees. All in a very Mediterranean environment that reminds me to my beloved Balearic Islands.
